Tryout Review
TRYOUT.NET
I was given the opportunity from BSM Media and Mom Select to review a new website called www.tryout.net. What is Tryout.net? At Tryout, they believe every child and parent should have free access to easily explore opportunities, hear from professionals and experts to see what it takes, learn what skills to develop and have the chance to be discovered.
Tryout’s talent network spans across numerous fields of interest, including but not limited to, SPORTS, DANCE, MUSIC, PERFORMANCE, MODELING, FINE ARTS AND MARTIAL ARTS.
At Tryout, they strive to empower kids to go after their dreams and want to make sure their parents have the tips and access to the right resources to make it happen. Their mission is not about becoming a pro or being seen on television, but stressing the importance of being active and dedicated to a special talent in order to improve the health and wellness of kids.
Tryout connects kids and their parents with local, regional, national and international professionals, experts and opportunities, in a 100% COPPA compliant and safe environment.
If you're a PARENT and have questions about how the site works, the safety and privacy practices, please visit their parents page.
If you’re a PRO, they have created some frequently asked questions that should resolve any question you may have.
Shauna Leff is the producer for Tryout. Here is what she has to say:
"As much as I want to say the site is already filled with all sorts of opportunities and expert advice covering all your kids interests I would be lying. Tryout’s core is based on UGC (user generated content). We are in the process of bringing pros from all over with different areas of interest and are hoping by word of mouth every day more pros sign up. We have some well known names already signing on, but we are in need of your help to bring in local and regional experts and pros, whether it be your kids all star soccer coach, the local theater, the dance academy down the street from you, your neighbor who maybe is a tennis instructor, a voice coach, etc… we want them to know Tryout is a free tool to create their own channel(s) and post opportunities, give online classes, share articles, local class schedules & events, videos, tips and more.
We are also looking for Pro Parents. What does that mean? The mom or dad who goes above and beyond schlepping their child to and from places to help foster their kid’s talent to become the next Venus Williams, Taylor Swift, David Beckham, Olympic medal winner or even a young star on Broadway. As mothers we know, one parent’s advice to another can be a lifesaver. We hope parents who have advice and stories at being the sideline coach and networker can create their own pro account and channel.
With all that said, it is important to mention that at Tryout we strive to empower kids to go after their dreams and want to make sure parents and kids have the tips and access to the right resources to make it happen. Our mission is not about kids becoming a pro or being seen on television, but stressing the importance of being active and dedicated to a special talent in order to improve their health and wellness.
We have some really exciting things in the works and I will be sending you updates this month to make sure you know about them since we are still adding and making changes to the site daily. So stay tuned and go tryout the site! www.tryout.net."
I have been checking it out! I hope you do too!!!
*I was given no money for this post. I was simply given 30 days on Tryout for free in exchange for my honest opinion.*
