Mickey's Roadshow LIVE! Omaha, NE!!

Image
US Family Guide, recently gave me the opportunity to see Mickey's Roadshow Live! They offered me 4 tickets free of charge to review and blog about my experience at the show! Knowing that I have 4 children and if we made it a family event, I would need 2 more tickets, I e-mailed and asked how I might get 2 more tickets next to the 4...and how much extra that would cost me. I was TOTALLY okay paying for 2 tickets...I mean, I was getting 4 for free. The thought never even occured to me that they may give me 2 more tickets for free...but they did!!! I couldn't believe it! That is what I call a stand up organization! They REALLY catered to my individual needs and I am SO appreciative for that! Not only that but the tickets were fantastic! Floor tickets are always more expensive...but I can't say that I understand that....you can't see anything from the floor. I always get Jimmy Bob sitting in front of me with a big gallon cowboy hat on, so I can never see anything

Simply Spray review!

Image
Simply Spray Fabric Paints are some GREAT paints!!! I had the opportunity to review these products and as a family we THOROUGHLY enjoyed using them. Now...we ARE amature artists....so our shirts are a bit...well...rusty looking, but we had a great time doing it and the kids are already asking when we can do more! I went to Hobby Lobby and just bought some plain white t-shirts. You can also get bulk t-shirts at Walmart or any other store. I watched all of the how to videos on the Simply Spray website and read all the how to literature before doing this. Angela has some really great video's and tutorials on her site! I really felt like I knew what I was doing when I got to the good part! So...one night, we set out some newspaper on the kitchen table...and one at a time, the kids laid their shirts down...told me what kind of deisgn they wanted and off they went! Cam and Jake tried to write on their shirts. It is a bit more difficult to do that and actually be able to READ

Fresh Fruit Pie

Recently I was contacted by an Indie Production Studio that makes family films. Their mission is to raise the bar of quality on family entertainment. They have created a video series that both parents and kids will love. It's called "Fresh Fruit Pie," and it's sort of like a family-friendly "Saturday Night Live." They are holding an online premiere for "Fresh Fruit Pie" October 19-21. The entire film will be available for free live streaming for 48 hours. They feel that moms and dads will love a show like this because it fills a gap that's sorely missing: moral-driven entertainment that kids of today's generation find exciting.

KT Tunstall, Tiger Suit CD Review

Image
I was given the opportunity by One2One Network to review KT Tunstall's new album Tiger Suit which was in stores starting October 5th. Click on the links above for KT's website and also the album site! Tiger Suit is her third studio album and is just the beginning of a new musical adventure for her! I am at a loss for words on how to describe her music, so let me just share with you how One2One Network described it: "Organic instrumentations are blended with dance-friendly textures, the results of which she has dubbed, 'Nature Techno' to encapsulate the album's collision of raw, upfront rootsiness and sleek electronic textures." Honestly, that is THE best description of her music....or at least the music on this particular CD. Here are some more quick facts: * KT is a Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum, Scottish-born singer-songwriter * Tiger Suit was released October 5th and her rollicking first single "Fade Like A Shadow" is a Top 20 hit at radi

"Set a Place at the Kids' Table" with Frigidaire

At any family gathering, it's easy to predict where the loudest laughs and silliest squeal will be coming from- the kid's table! Just like turkey and all the trimmings, the kids' table is a holiday tradition where good times rule. This year, Frigidaire and Jennifer Garner are asking everyone to set a place at their "virtual kid's table" for a child in need. This great new campaign supports Save the Children's efforts and ensures that kids have access to healthy foods this holiday season and all year long. Starting today, at MakeTimeforChange.com , when you set a place at the virtual kids' table, Frigidaire will donate $1 to support Save the Children's work to help children in need in the U.S., as part of their $500,000 commitment to this worthy cause. Plus, to help spread the word, everyone who participates will be entered for a chance to win a new Frigidaire Professional® Range. As a mom and kid's table alum herself, Jennifer Garner is turnin

Expressionery.com Review

Image
Expressionery.com recently sent me a product to review. It is a Melamine Personalized Plate. I REALLY like the feel of it...it is lightweight, and very sturdy. I also love the design! I can't wait to use this for my next event...birthday party...shower...whatever! The ONLY problem I really see with it is it is not microwaveable. I LOVE to put food on a plate from tupperware left overs and "nuk" them. This would not work for this purpose. HOWEVER, given the design...I wouldn't use it as an everyday plate anyway...so would I really have the need to microwave it? Probably not....so that isn't really an issue. It IS dishwasher safe however, which is very nice...and will stay nice as long as no abrasive cleaners are used on it. All in all, I think it is a great product! I LOVE to have nice things when I have parties. Anything to make people feel more special about their special day!!! Check out Expressionery.com for more personalized things! Thie product will
