He started out in radio before moving on to stand-up. Aware of his roots, in 2009, he performed a thank you show to fans in the state for supporting him through the years. He offered $4 tickets to the show at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb., and 50,000 people attended.

Outside of stand-up comedy, Larry has been busy. He is the host of Only in America, now in its third season on the History Channel. He has starred in numerous films, including Delta Farce and was the voice of Mater in the Golden Globe winning animated feature film Cars and its sequels. He reunited with his co-stars of the highly successful concert Blue Collar Comedy Tour Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall for a tour in 2012 and the animated show Bounty Hunters for CMT, which premiered in the spring of 2013.

I have been given the AWESOME opportunity to go SEE one of his performances!  I am SUPER excited and can't wait to see him in person!  I've been wanting to see one of his acts since the good old days when he was new to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour.  When I first heard of him I was living in Phoenix, AZ.  We all thought he was a riot!  Now I LIVE in Omaha, Nebraska, his home state and I couldn't be more proud to have him live here and call it home as well!  Some people are proud to have politicians from their home state...not me....its all about Home Grown Larry The Cable Guy here!!  :-)
I'll be sure to let you guys know how GREAT he does!  Be watching for my review!
