Roundup On The Trail at Shepherd of the Hills
Yeller Dog Productions is proud to announce that after 10 years of entertaining sell-out crowds with one of Branson's most popular and most unique Christmas shows, Christmas On The Trail, the outstanding musicians of New Trails have heard their fan’s requests, and invite you to join them in the all new Roundup On The Trail Chuckwagon Dinner Show. The first thing patrons will notice as they arrive are the aromas of their meal being prepared on an authentic Chuckwagon, just like those that went up the great cattle trails of the 1800's. Then the trail hands will get them seated, and serve up a hot, hearty meal sure to stick to any cowboy or cowgirl's ribs!
The meal will consist of a big, Texas-sized plate of Slow-Smoked Texas Brisket, Maple-Smoked, Basted Turkey Breast, a big ladle of Campfire Beans, Dutch Oven Trail Taters, a Fire Roasted Ear of Corn, Cookie's Hot Rolls, Hot Dutch Oven Cobbler, and your choice of Real Cowboy Coffee, Tea, Soft Drink, or Water. Once the meal is finished, audiences will be amazed as the ranch hands of New Trails take them on a music and comedy roundup like never before!
As the name Roundup On The Trail indicates, New Trails will roundup a variety of musical styles, from their origins across the ocean, to the trails that headed west, and all stops in between. They'll also celebrate not only the authentic roots of the great American Cowboy in song and verse, but also make toes tap with plenty of high-energy music, performed by world-class instrumentalists, and trace the influences of our roots in some of the most popular music of today! New Trails can play it all, with a wide variety of musical styles, harmonies, instrumentations, and range, from the Old West to Western Swing, and from the Old Country to New Country. Audiences are encouraged to do a little “boot scootin’,” if they are moved by the music, and there’s sure to be some musical surprises along the way, and shows will always take a trip down the gospel trails.
Audiences will laugh like never before, as they are invited to come right inside the bunkhouse, and join the playful banter of a bunch of cowboys as they amuse the audience and each other with hilarious stories and cowboy poetry, as well as zany antics that could only happen on the trail! It’ll be a time of great food, great fun, great talent, and great music, and patrons won’t just spectate, they’ll participate!
The dinner bell will ring at 4:45 PM, and the show starts at 5:30 PM, year ‘round, and the shows will be at the home of the wildly popular Christmas On The Trail Show, the Pavilion Theatre, at The Shepherd of the Hills Historic Homestead. This will allow the ten year relationship between the Snadon Family, The Shepherd of the Hills, and Christmas on the Trail to go forward and expand into a season long entertainment/dinner experience.
