Happy Mango Bakery was made a reality by a stay at home mom who had been working her small business out of her home for many years.  It became such a huge success though that it was time for her to branch out and get a location.  And get a location she DID!  It is such a wonderful little shop!  It is small....but it is mighty and it packs a punch! 

I was given the opportunity by my district as a foods teacher, to go tour the facility.  The tour didn't take long, but it runs like a well oiled machine.  The staff are all very friendly, and they have a certain type of comradery that you don't often see in facilities such as this.

I have a daughter who is turning 21.  The only thing she asked for was a normal cake like everyone else gets.  I normally make her cakes egg free....but she wanted a professionally done cake because I am certainly not a baker!  :-)  I asked the owner if she could do one.  I had expected her to say sure and move on....but she really wanted to try different recipes and get it right first.  Once they figured out the perfect concoction, they notified me and I was able to order it.  I am excited to see it!

As soon as I get the cake for my daughter I will do another post so you can see what it looks like and I can let you know what it tastes like.  I have no doubt at all that it will look amazing and taste amazing as well!

Larry the Cable Guy Review

Recently I was invited to attend a Larry the Cable Guy show by Omaha Performing Arts.  Who doesn't love Larry the Cable Guy?  I am from Arizona, and I can remember very clearly when he came to town with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour!  He was my favorite of the 4!  Then I moved to Nebraska and found out this was his home state!  Then everytime I watched him, I noticed he always had an "N" necklace or an "N" baseball cap on!  I started feeling like having Nebraska fever myself!  His kids were born in Lincoln, just down the road....and he always attends Nebraska football games!  He seemed like just one of the good guys!  And I was right.  After attending his show, he has shown me yet again, that he is...just one of the good guys!  He is very transparent, friendly and down to earth!  At the end of the show he even stayed extra long to answer questions for people.  He even gave his two cents on politics,  the military and...
