Terence Blanchard: E-Collective To Play Jazz-Centered Blend Of Funk, R&B
Omaha Performing Arts presents Grammy®-winning trumpeter Terence Blanchard in the Kiewit Hall at the Holland Performing Arts Center Thursday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $15, and are available at TicketOmaha.com, 402.345.0606 or at the Ticket Omaha Office inside the Holland Center, 1200 Douglas St. Blanchard is part of the 2014/15 Jazz Series.
The New Orleans trumpeter has made a name for himself as a renowned composer, arranger and bandleader, winning five Grammys® along the way. For his Omaha performance, Blanchard will perform with his latest musical collaboration, the Terence Blanchard: E-Collective, a jazz-centered exploration into the fusion of funk, blues and R&B. The Terence Blanchard: E-Collective features an R&B-oriented rhythm section that is driven by Oscar Seaton on drums, Donald Ramsey on bass, Charles Altura on guitar and Fabian Almazan on keyboard, piano and synths.
