Tony Award®-Winning PIPPIN Soars in 3rd Episode of
“Broadway Balances America” Series
Special Peek at Omaha-Bound Musical Exclusively on Lifetime Television’s The Balancing Act®, Wednesday, October 29, and Wednesday, November 5, at 6:30 a.m.
OMAHA, NEBRASKA – OCTOBER 28, 2014 – PIPPIN, the 2013 Tony Award®-winning Best Musical Revival, which will be presented in Omaha in March by Omaha Performing Arts and Broadway Across America as part of the Omaha Performing Arts 2014/2015 Broadway Series, will take center stage on the award-winning morning show The Balancing Act® on the Lifetime® Channel Wednesday, October 29, at 6:30 a.m. Central Standard Time. The segment will also air at the same time on Wednesday, November 5. Viewers will have the chance to go behind-the-scenes of the production, as part of the “Broadway Balances America” series.
The Broadway touring musical production will be on stage live at Omaha’s Orpheum Theater Tuesday, March 3, through Sunday, March 8, 2015. This third episode of the six-part “Broadway Balances America” segment focuses on the strong women behind PIPPIN and how they balance their lives in the demanding theatre industry. Interviews with Tony Award®-winning director Diane Paulus and circus creator Gypsy Snider highlight the creative process of developing a fresh, new PIPPIN for modern audiences. Viewers will get an exclusive look on-stage with Snider working with the show’s Leading Player and various acrobats that make thisPIPPIN truly extraordinary.
