Nebraska Hockey Mom

  This past weekend, my daughter turned 21!  She LOVES any food that is from south of the boarder!  She chose to go to Margarita's on 72nd St.  I have not been paid to make this post, but we were so well accommodated that I wanted to send a shout out to them! A couple days prior I called and asked them what the procedure was for a large group.  I knew they didn't do reservations, but didn't know how I could fit my 15 people in.  The manager told me to come in about 30 minutes prior to the party start and get a table.  So that is what I did! The party was said to start at 6.  So my husband and I arrived at 5:30.  The messaged was not conveyed to the staff from the manager I spoke with prior and so I got a little nervous as they told me that they can't seat me until at least half of the people were there.  I gently told her that I was told that we were to come and get the table thirty minutes early and that nobody would be there until 6....

 Friday night we had our daughters 21st birthday party!  We went to Margaritas on 72nd and L for dinner and then we opened up her egg free cake which Happy Mango Bakery worked so hard on!  They did a great job!  I failed to get a picture of the inside, but it was chocolate with vanilla filling.  My daughter LOVED it.  She has never had the opportunity to have a "real" cake from a bakery before because she is allergic to eggs.  When the folks at Happy Mango said they'd try it out for me I was ecstatic!  The cake tasted JUST LIKE a normal chocolate cake.  It was DELICIOUS!  They did a fantastic job!  I could not possibly thank them enough for making my daughters 21st birthday such a special one that she will always remember.  In addition, she LOVES Lake Powell.  We are former Arizona dwellers and we go to Lake Powell every summer.  She was THRILLED to see how amazing the decoration was on her cake!  I would happily...

  Happy Mango Bakery was made a reality by a stay at home mom who had been working her small business out of her home for many years.  It became such a huge success though that it was time for her to branch out and get a location.  And get a location she DID!  It is such a wonderful little shop!  It is small....but it is mighty and it packs a punch!  I was given the opportunity by my district as a foods teacher, to go tour the facility.  The tour didn't take long, but it runs like a well oiled machine.  The staff are all very friendly, and they have a certain type of comradery that you don't often see in facilities such as this. I have a daughter who is turning 21.  The only thing she asked for was a normal cake like everyone else gets.  I normally make her cakes egg free....but she wanted a professionally done cake because I am certainly not a baker!  :-)  I asked the owner if she could do one.  I had expected her to say...
