I have a 14  year old, 12 year old, 8 year  old and 5 year old.  The past 3 kids gave up their sippy cups early because someone younger than them, usually needed them.  Major...my 5 year old...is a little different.  He has no one to follow him.  He is having trouble getting rid of the sippy cup, and I am not needing him to stop for someone else...which means I am not pushing it.  So...here is my question.  What do YOU think is the appropriate age to get rid of the sippy cups?  He HAS drank out of regular glasses, so I know he can...he just chooses not to.  What do YOU think????

I am slow.  Their first day of school was last Monday.  But....I am curious...how did each of you do????  Do tell!!!!  This is an e-mail I wrote to my family last Monday.  I thought I'd share it today. After bawling last night at midnight after finishing their lunches....I got up at 6, made breakfast and send Jake off walking to Andersen Middle School at 7:15 with his friend Nicoli.....next was Cam.  I sent him off walking at 7:30 to his freshman year of high school at Millard South High School with his friends Maddie and Cannan.  I thought that would be hard.....but it wasn't bad.  It was weird....but not bad.  Next at 8am, I started walking with MaKenna and Major to Neihardt Elementary school for 3rd grade and Kindergarten. Major was a chatter box all morning and super excited...until we got on school grounds.  Suddenly he clammed up.  This NEVER happens.  MaKenna did just fine of course.  Howeve...

I was given the opportunity from House Parties to host my very own Monopoly Unleashed House Party!  I have never been a fan of Monopoly, but their new and improved Monopoly game is great!  I was sent a box of games and goodies to host my party with.  I got the new Monopoly, Monopoly Millionaire Deal Card Game, Candy Land and Connect Four.  We already had Candy Land too....but this is a new and improved Candy Land too.  I like it much better!  I was also sent coupons and tattoos and keychains to make the experience more fun!
