New Certain Dri Solid Antiperspirant (for men & women).
What THEY say about it:
Certain Dri is the number one over-the-counter antiperspirant recommended by doctors for treating excessive perspiration. New to the Certain Dri line of antiperspirant products is Certain Dri Solid, equally effective and specially-formulated for those with sensitive skin. While other over-the-counter antiperspirants claim to be “clinical strength” and “waterproof” the Certain Dri formulations – 12% aluminum chloride and 25% aluminum sesquichlorohydrate - are the strongest available, providing 72-hours of protection with each application. Retail price is $5.50-$6, almost 40% less than the other clinical strength antiperspirant products.
Dermatologists have been recommending Certain Dri Anti-Perspirant Roll-On to help control excessive sweating of the feet (helps prevent blisters) and hands, too. Same directions apply. Apply sparingly at night and let completely dry before washing hands or feet, getting dressed or slipping into bed.
On 7/14/09, Certain Dri was on the national TV show, Good Morning America in a segment on Sweat. http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=8077794
I have to say...I was skeptical. I am VERY picky about what I put on my body. However, I do have a problem with sweat. Yes...I am female...and I don't glow...I get DRENCHED with sweat!! Granted...it is very hot and humid here....and I am in the midst of sweat season, but still....most of my girl friends just glow...or glisten...IF THAT. Then there is me....my clothes look like I just got out of a swimming pool when I am done walking outside, running, exercising whatever. I DO exercise a lot...and thought, hmm...I am going to give it a try. I typically don't stink, but like I said, I DO sweat and it IS a nuisance.
It goes on JUST like my usual anti-perspirant. Maybe doesn't glide on QUITE as well...but not too much of a difference. However, the end result was what caught my attention. It really DOES help stop the excessiveness of sweating!! I didn't have near the trouble. The directions say to apply at bedtime. I don't know about it...but I have a real problem putting anti-perspirant on at bedtime. So...I didn't follow the directions the first couple days. I applied in the morning, just like always. Then I thought, "Hmm...I wonder...", so I DID apply at bedtime....and it STILL worked the next day! It was FANTASTIC! Now...that is ONLY the case if you don't shower the next morning and shower it off. I showered at night...then applied, and did not shower in the morning.
Anyway, fantastic product. I have never seen it in the stores before, but you better believe I will be looking now. A++!!!
