Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza! Yum!!

What mom doesn't love serving her family a fresh, hand-made dinner, straight from the oven? It's that desire to feed our families high-quality meals when we're short on time that makes us huge fans of Papa Murphy's! That's why we're so excited to try Papa Murphy's newest menu addition, Fresh Pan Pizza.

Papa Murphy's Fresh Pan Pizza features a thick, buttery crust from scratch-made dough and high quality, freshly-prepared ingredients that Papa Murphy's is famous for. Jillian Michaels is coming to Omaha and GIVEAWAY!!!!!

If you didn't get the chance to read my post in January about Jillian Michaels (@JillianLiveTour) coming to Omaha, you can do so HERE.  This post will be a little repetitive....however, THIS post has the giveaway in it!  WOOT WOOT!!!
First....THE FACTS.....

Jillian Michaels will be at the Holland Performing Arts Center (@OPerformingArts) for her Maximize Your Life Tour (#MaximizeYourLife)!

1200 Douglas St., Omaha, on March 12, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and may be purchased online at  The show is roughly 90 minutes and will include a Q&A with the audience.  The show has some adult language, so it is preferred that the audience remain 18 and older.

The tour is sponsored by Curves!  Have you ever been to a Curves?  I was a member for about a year.  I quit when nothing was happening.  Not for lack of trying and not Curves' fault.  I discovered I had extremely high Cortisol levels, no amount of eating right and exercising would help me until the Cortisol levels dropped even a little bit.  That is the only reason I stopped going.  They are an incredible company though.  Millions of women have benefited from their program!  I am thrilled to see Jillian promoting them!

Jillians (@JillianMichaels) main premise is to live well.  Not just have to make healthy choices throughout your life and implement them until they become habits.  You can check her out at  She has kept busy.  Not only is she on the TV Reality Show, "The Biggest Loser", she is also a best selling author, has done scads of DVD's for exercising, has an online podcast, is a wellness coach, the list of her accomplishments and what she does could go on and on.  Check out her website for more info.

This is a show you won't want to miss.  Healthy or not, she is bound to entertain!  Who will I see there?????  You better believe I'll be there!!!

The prize is 4 tickets to see
Jillian Michaels on
March 12
and is valued at $276!" rel="nofollow">a Rafflecopter giveaway

Disney Side Home Celebration! AND GIVEAWAY!!

Show Your Disney Side!
Recently I had the opportunity to host a Disney Side Home Celebration!  We had so much fun!  Disney really went above and beyond to make this a great party for all who were involved!

Look at all that I received in my Celebration Kit!
American Tourister Luggage
Disney napkins, cups, balloons, plates, tablecloth and banner
Disney tattoos and stickers
Disney bingo, trivia and face painting kits
HP Photo card packs
Disney Vacation planning DVD's
Disney cookie cutters and cupcake wrappers
Craisins Dried Cranberries and coupons
The Chew recipe cards
Hanes t-shirts and decorating kit
and MORE!
These were AWESOME props for my Disney Celebration!  I was also sent great ideas to make the celebration that much more fun!  You can find special ways to make your party fun too by going to!  You can also follow on twitter @disneyparks!  #disneyside

We started the party with lots of goodies!  What is a good party after all, without lots of goodies!!
The mom's hung out in the living room to watch the Disney Vacation planning DVD, while the kids did their own partying in the kitchen!

Disney was gracious enough to give me multiple packs of the HP Photo Cards (which I have one left for a giveaway) to give as guest well as all sorts of coupons and even a Mickey and Minnie Mouse poster!

The poster that was given is shown in the middle of the table.  In fact, I have one left for a giveaway!

The kids had a great time playing bingo, and some of the other games.  This isn't all of the kids that were there....these are just the ones I could wrangle to get a picture of!  They went in shifts!
Here are some of them playing bingo.  It really got them excited about Disney and all of the fun places they can visit and fun things they can do!
Hanes also was part of the Disney Side @Home Celebration!  They sent several Medium and Large kids ComfortSoft t-shirts and fabric markers so that each child could make their own Disney T-Shirt!  In the whole excitement of everything, I failed to get pictures of the kids finished works of art though.  They were each super excited though!
These T-Shirts are very soft.  I really like them!  Hanes also has ComfortSoft in underwear, socks and outerwear too, for the whole family at most of your favorite retail stores.

Since it was almost Valentines Day, I passed around a bunch of paper lips they could color and put on too!  That was a ton of fun also!  Anything to make the party more fun!
Along with the HP Photo Cards, we got a flyer explaining to us what the Story App is.  The Story App gathers the everyday moments captured on your iPhone and helps you transform them into stories that are easy to personalize, save and share.  Go to and check out Disney's personal storytelling platform.
Personalize can embed your story on your blog, tweet your story with #YoursToTell and post a link to your story on their facebook page and tag them @DisneyStory.
For more ideas you can go to

The mommys and kiddos had a wonderful time at my Disney Side @Home Celebration!  Disney did NOT disappoint!  It makes me realize why I love Disney so much.  I remember the last time I visited a Disney Park, everyone was SO happy. They either train their staff really well...or pay them REALLY well.  Everyone would go above and beyond for you.  It truly WAS THE happiest place on earth!  If you haven't been before, request the DVD.....I will have a giveaway for one of those as well.  If you HAVE been to Disney least one of their parks, choose another one to go to.  There is so much to do, so much to see for all ages.

Make sure you subscribe to the Disney Parks YouTube channel at!

*I received free products in order to host the Disney Side @Home Celebration.  The opinions expressed here are my own.*

Hidden Falls Review PLUS Free Episode...HURRY!!!

Hidden Falls – An Exciting New 13-Part Serial Novel from Shiloh Run Studios

What Amazon has to say about it:

Thirty years of small-town secrets—now the key to the mystery is gone.  The small town of Hidden Falls is abuzz. Former students, friends, and loved ones are prepping for tonight's big event to honor Ted Quinn's many years of compassionate service.  Quinn is reluctant about a night in the spotlight--but is tenderly prodded by Sylvia, mayor of Hidden Falls and Quinn's dearest friend and confidante.

Ethan and Nicole won't let the shadows of their pasts stop them from returning to Hidden Falls--but only for Quinn--no matter how much it hurts.  Liam, a former student, and Jack, a town newcomer, are both hoping the night works toward their own gain--or, if they'll admit it, their chance for redemption.  Like Quinn, Dani and Lauren are mainstays in Hidden Falls. They keep close to home--and have secrets to keep close, too.

Now it's time. The guests are seated, introductions are made, the spotlight shines on center stage...and the unthinkable leaves the entire town scrambling for the truth.

Think you know what happens next? Go to Facebook/HiddenFallsSeries to get in on the latest news.

My Take:
I really wasn't sure what to think at first.  It isn't the normal book.  It was laid out much like the TV Series "24" if you remember that.  Each chapter had a time at the top.  It was actually pretty neat to have it go hour by hour...minute by minute.  The first episode was a lot of getting to know the characters...much like an episode of a television show.  It ended much like a television episode does too...with a cliff hanger....making you hunger for more and waiting until the next weeks release.

The nice thing about it is it was could be read quickly....and you have to wait until the next release....forcing you to put the book down.  I can't tell you how many times I have been reading a book and then stayed up WAY too late because I couldn't put the book down.  This way, you are forced to put it down until the next episode releases.  For me...this is good.  For others, this may not be good because maybe you don't have patience to wait.  This is definitely a different way to read a book though.  I will have to continue in the series to see how much I end up liking it.  So good though!  I'll always give something new a try!  Can't knock it until you've tried it!

*I was given the first episode of this series to try it out and give my honest opinion.  No money was exchanged.*

Soda Stream NEW Flavors Review and Recipe

Soda Stream

Have you tried the Soda Stream yet?  Did you read my last Soda Stream blog post?  If not, you can do that HERE.  You can also see if Soda Stream is healthier for you HERE.

If you've tried Soda Stream....what do you think?  I have to honestly say, I LOVE IT!  First of is cheaper.  Of course your initial cost is more....but in the long run it is cheaper and better for the environment (no cans or bottles to throw out).  In many cases it is healthier for you as well.  And it tastes like the "real deal".  I am very picky about my soda are my children....but so far, everyone loves their favorite flavors just like the "real deal"!
So, I was given this 12 pack of samples to try out and to try a new recipe.  This 12 pack sample box had Kool Aid flavors in it, Country Time flavors, and Crystal Light flavors.
The recipe they sent me was for Sparkling Winter Punch.  VERY GOOD!
You need:
*1 liter SodaStream Kool-Aid Cherry Soda
*1 liter SodaStream Country Time Lemonade
*2 cups of Orange Juice (not included)
*(Optional) Garnish with orange slices and cherries
First fill your SodaStream bottles with the appropriate amount of water.
Carbonate it, and fill with the flavor pack.
Then put them in a larger pitcher.

It was really very good.  I REALLY liked it.  It tasted like a normal party punch.....however even with the carbonation, it really wasn't very fizzy.  I think the orange juice must have caused it to lose its fizz.  It was REALLY tasty though!  My kids were all over it too!  They loved it.

If you own a SodaStream, you should really try this recipe at your next get together.  If you don't own a SodaStream and would like to, make sure you go and pick one up!  I've seen them just about every where.  You could even check Amazon.

Comment below and let me know what you think if you have one!

*I was provided with a sample pack of SodaStream flavors in exchange for my honest opinion.  I was not paid for this post.*

Some of the biggest brands in our
kitchens contributed to cutting 6.4 trillion
calories per year from the marketplace.
Now it’s our turn to make the effort for
ourselves and our families.
In the fight against obesity, partners of the
Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation
helped reduce individual calorie consumption
by 78/day. I’m doing my part by encouraging
my kids to eat the rainbow this week.
What can you do?
Every day we take in an average of 100
calories more than we need. Let’s trim that
number and help the next generation halt
the rise of obesity with Together Counts!
Here’s some food for thought. Food companies
recently cut 6.4 trillion calories per year from the
grocery store, but I think we can do better together
as families to help stop the rise of obesity.

Color Me Rad 5K GIVEAWAY!!!!

Can you STAND IT???  I am doing ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!!!!  Color Me Rad 5K has given me two registrations to giveaway to ONE of my readers!  Why only one??  So my winner can have a friend go with him or her of course!  No one should have to run alone!!!  You will be part of Team Nebraska Hockey Mom though!  We'll have a GREAT time...if you're local anyway!  The run here in Omaha/Council Bluffs is April 26th at 9:15am.

What is Color Me Rad 5K?
Color Me Rad is coming to a town near you with a tsunami of color that'll make colored tears of joy run down your cheeks and will renew your will to live.

Color Me Rad is a 5K that fires off in a blaze of color bombs, color cannons, color mortars, and multi-toned courses that guarantee your outlook will be brighter, your boyfriend will be more affectionate, your boss will finally remember your name, the hair on your head will grow back and the hair on your back will fall out, and your gray outlook will turn green like a spring morning.
Historically, running has only been acceptable when trying to escape the law, personal responsibility, the truth, and grizzly bears.
Instead of running FROM something, get ready to run FOR something at this year's Color Me Rad. Run for the hell of it.
You'll start off with a shirt as pure and white as your granddaddy's dentures, and throughout the run, we'll coat your chaffing thighs with Color Bombs of blue, green, pink, purple, and yellow until you come out like a tie-dyed hippy on the other side.
Each section of the run adds a new explosion of color to your clean, painter's palate until you cross the finish line into a final blitzkrieg of color.
You're probably asking yourselves, "Is this really color being thrown at us or are the rainbows we're seeing just God's signal that it'll never flood again?"
Glad you aksed. This isn't just smoke and mirrors.  This is non-toxic, non-rash-inducing, Kroger branded, colored cornstarch.* With corn subsidized by the government and processed in the good o'l US of A, these blasts of starch will change your color and your demeanor but never your safety or health.
Ingredients: Corn starch and FD&C and/or D&C colors. Color safety information: Approved for use in foods, cosmetics and/or drugs. These products are not considered hazardous, 29 CFR 1910-1200.

Soooo.....WHO is going to be the lucky person to run along side Nebraska Hockey Mom?  Or run along side Nebraska Hockey Mom in spirit because you're in a different location??  Either way....WHO is going to be my winner?????

The Extraordinary Art of Couponing Review AND Giveaway!

The Extraordinary Art of Couponing was written by a blogger mommy friend of mine, Nicole McDonald.  You can visit her blog at  After you've read my review....if you are interested in learning the couponing ropes, you can find her book HERE at  You will be SO happy you did!  Why?  Well...let me tell you why....

Have you done much couponing?  I have and I enjoy it.  I've saved SO much money it is truly ridiculous.  My kids have even learned that you NEVER pay full price for anything.  I used to find out what I saved on each receipt, and put that money aside.  That is the money we would "play" with....go out on dates, get something special, go on vacation, etc.  Somehow we got away from doing that, but it was fun to see exactly how much money we saved by doing that.  Honestly, it is silly to ever pay for anything full price when there is so much potential out there to save money.

With that said, I love to coupon and find good deals...BUT....I am disorganized.  I know my system....but even my system can get a bit too chaotic for me!  Reading this book by Nicole McDonald, a Navy Vet MBA holder in Marketing, helped me to really organize and see where I could make changes to make it less chaotic and SO much faster and easier when I go to the store.  There were some instances where I would give up simply because I couldn't find a coupon in my mess of coupons.  Nicoles simple system has made my life so much easier and my shopping trips a little faster and less stressful.

This book is a super simple read too.  Only 70 pages long, but FULL of information!

Nicole gives you secrets of couponing, RESPONSIBLE stockpiling (not hoarding), tips for meal planning and recipes, WHERE to find coupons, how to save time clipping and organizing coupons, and ways to plan your shopping trip using coupons and how to get rock-bottom prices...even here.  I say even here, because you know all those couponing shows?  They are mostly all down south where the stores that let you double and triple your coupons are.  Some people don't even try to coupon here because they watch those shows and don't think it is possible here...but it IS!  And you CAN!

I don't want to give away all of her secrets....but I DO want to give away an autographed copy of her book!!!  But first...if you don't win a are some easy ways to get her book and information:

*The hard copy is only on Amazon....but you can get the Ebook on Amazon, Nook, iTunes and Smashwords.  They are $3.99 for an ebook on all the sites.  The hard copy is listed at $9.99 on Amazon, but sometimes you can find it cheaper.

*Nicole also teaches coupons, freebies, meal planning, advanced coupons and frugal fun with kids in the Omaha area at MCC, IWCC, home parties, public library, Fremont First State Bank and Trust and MOPS and church groups.
